A genre I have yet to dive into. Coming from a well known studio. Ubisoft. Has long running series that have been quite successful, from: Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy, Watch Dogs and many others. A company that is made its mark into gaming community by providing such diversity in their games. In terms of the narrative there isn’t a main story as it focus solely on the online experience. As far as the genre its a first person tactical shooter. Now let’s dive right into the game play. As a first person shooter everybody knows what that means, going around getting kills as many as you can to put you’re team in an advantageous position. But, that’s not the case with this F.P.S. What really sets it apart from the rest is the destructibility and the necessary amount of communication between players, to do well. In this game You’re able to blow up walls, floors, hatches. Which leads to very interesting tactics that can be implemented. Not only that but the one shot head shot mechanic. Meaning any weapon in the game, that fires bullets is able to take down his opponents with one bullet if landed in the head. Which can lead to very intense moments when it comes to clutching up rounds. The characters are very different from other F.P.S as well. Consisting of the attackers and defenders. Attackers objective can be three things. Recover the hostage safely, secure an area, or defuse the bomb. Not all at once. Each objective for the attackers is its own game mode. Which involves different tactics to be executed for both the attackers and the defenders. In this game it refers to its characters as operators. Every operator has its own unique role in both for attackers and defenders. For example on the attacking side, they have operator named “Ash” who has a grenade launcher at her disposal used to open up soft walls. On the defending side, they have “Smoke” who has toxic gas canisters which are used to keep the attackers at bay. At the same time causes damage if in the proximity of the toxic gas. To sum it up its a great pick up for any who are fans of the F.P.S genre. That has been having a strong player base since 2015 heading into a new year. Available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
