The Last of Us

A game that was released back in 2013 exclusively for the Playstation 3. Developed by Naughty Dog, a company that many people in the gaming community have respect for. Their track record is outstanding, having created the Uncharted series, Jak and Daxter, and Crash Bandicoot. But, with the release of this game, a completely different tone and setting the company had never explored or put out changed everything. The Last Of Us. A third person, action, survival, adventure, horror, shooter. Set in a post apocalyptic world after a cordyceps brain infection struck america. Where the player must constantly be cautious of his or her surroundings at all times. One fatal mistake could lead to a scratch from one of many types of infected, or be beaten or shot to death by a group of hunters. The player decides whether it will take the more stealth approach and take out it’s enemies by strangling infected or hunters from behind. Or on the other hand go guns blazing if that player has the ammunition and resources to make such decision. The game has a great crafting mechanic. In which the player throughout the game collects various materials to be able to craft medkits, knives, and weapons to use to their advantage. Overall this game has it’s fans anxiously waiting for the sequel, releasing on the 29th of May this year. Is available on both PS3 and PS4.
